Andy Rosen started out as a music photographer working as a staff photographer on Record Mirror and Sounds and freelancing to NME, Melody Maker, The Face Magazine and most record companies during the burgeoning punk scene in the mid-1970s.

As a friend and cohort of many who went on to become the biggest names in punk, Rosen had unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the musicians and artists of London’s early punk scene.

Unlike most photographers of the time, each of Andy’s pictures were visual statements that captured a moment in history which would last the test of time.

This is one of the reasons why Andy is regarded as an innovator and it is true to say that his genius is only surpassed by those who were his subjects.

Andy has exhibited in Sydney, London and Los Angeles. His work is collected by collectors worldwide, including Peter Morton, owner of the Hard Rock Cafes and Hotels where they are displayed as part of the world-famous Hard Rock memorabilia collection.
